Customs and Duty
Items that are manufactured in Canada or the USA are generally not assessed duty. However, items that are imported (made in a country other than Canada or the USA) could be assessed duties and taxes. Customs policies vary from country to country. Contact your local customs office for more information.
Customs forms for all international packages list the value of your order by product type. For instance, a shipment containing crystal would read: Crystal, value: $50.00 Cdn. If the order is a gift, the package is marked "Gift", but the cost of the item is still listed on the outside of the item. Please keep this in mind if you are sending an item as a gift to someone who lives outside Canada.
